On Fri, Nov 7th, 2008 the students at Edu-Prize Charter School in Gilbert, AZ held a fund raiser to raise monies for Banner Children’s Hospital in Mesa, AZ. Caps 4 a Cause Day gave the students an opportunity to donate a minimum of $1 and in return were able to wear their favorite hat to school. There were hard hats and cowboy hats, Uncle Sam hats and hats made to look like a large yummy hamburger. There also were princess hats and firemen hats, tiaras and football helmets. After the money was counted, the students had raised $2042.98 to help make the young patients at the hospital a little happier during their stay. Many toys, baby swings, scrapbook supplies, games and craft items will be donated. A huge thank-you goes out to the students, faculty and parents at Edu-Prize. Way to go !!!!!
