Jared Boxes are clear shoe boxes filled with items to help occupy the children. Many of the patients in the hospital are in Oncology or can’t leave their room. They are not able to go down to the play room for craft and play time. The Jared Boxes are delivered to a child to bring them a smile.
Many different small items are placed into the boxes. A few examples are: bubbles, Play-Doh, dolls, soft balls, cars, paint sets, books, soft animals, coloring books, color pencils, crayons, card games, silly string, yo-yo, craft kits, rattles, onsies, word searches, journals, nail polish and plastic animals. The list is endless.
The Jared Boxes are labeled gender and age appropriate and handed out by the hospital personnel. They are great tool to help boost the spirit of the kids and their families. |
